Forest opera in Sopot

In July 1909, on the edge of the Tri-City Landscape Park in Sopot, a forest amphitheater was opened on an area of ​​4 ha. A characteristic feature of this place is its excellent acoustics and attractive location. The Forest Opera in Sopot can accommodate 5,047 spectators.
Throughout the history of the facility's existence, many musical events have been held here, and many outstanding performers from all over the world have played on this stage.
On August 22, 1987, Johnny Cash performed, the band Scorpions played during the Live At Sopot Festival in 2005, and on July 23, 2023, the famous American violinist, singer and dancer Lindsey Stirling performed.
The opera stage is also a place of numerous classical music concerts, blues concerts, rock concerts, fashion shows and others.
In 2009, the idea was born to present opera works on the premises with the participation of outstanding soloists, conductors and producers from Poland and around the world.
In July 2023, Richard Wagner's work "The Flying Dutchman" was exhibited.
The forest amphitheater can be visited every day all year round, until it closes.
